On November 1, 2023, Hutchens Rentz-Eden (HRE) acquired the fuel dealer and lubricant divisions of Watts Petroleum out of Lynchburg, VA. This purchase represents a significant step toward our long-term expansion goals to increase our presence in the New River Valley and Central Virginia.
Expansion Strengthens Fuel Dealer Relationships & Product Offerings.
The purchase of Watts Petroleum’s lubricants division is a strategic move to complement our existing lubricant warehouses in Verona and Stuart, Virginia.
Moreover, it strengthens our fuel dealer relationships with brands like Marathon Petroleum and ExxonMobil and opens the door for new relationships as we are now a Spirit Petroleum distributor.
Rest assured, the transition will not lead to any reduction in Watts Petroleum’s product and service offerings. HRE is committed to retaining and enhancing the existing product line to ensure a seamless experience for our valued customers.
Smooth Transition Supported By Experienced Watts Petroleum Personnel.
Nate Perry, our newest dealer relationship manager, will work closely with existing dealers and spearhead the expansion in the region.
Importantly, HRE values the skills and expertise of the existing team, and we’re pleased to announce that all of Watts Petroleum’s transport drivers and maintenance personnel have joined the HRE family, ensuring a smooth transition and continuity of excellent service.
